Words by Julie Rowbory (née Magill)
1. All praise to the Father of Jesus, our Lord,
Who loved us and blessed us in Christ.
He chose us in Him before earth was created,
To be holy and pure in His sight.
Adopted as heirs and loved by Him freely,
Redeemed by the blood of His Son,
We stand, sins forgiven, grace lavished upon us,
In the knowledge of all He has done.
2. Once dead, we were rebels and lived our own way,
And followed our sinful desires.
But God, Who is rich in mercy and loved us,
Has made us alive now with Christ.
By grace we are saved through faith in Christ Jesus.
It's nothing that we have deserved.
His handiwork now and created to please Him,
In the good works that He has prepared.
3. How wide and how long and how high and how deep
Is the love of Christ Jesus, our Lord
May we know this love that surpasses all knowledge,
And be filled with the fullness of God.
To Him who is able to do more by far
Than all we can ask Him or dream,
To Him be the glory for ever and ever
in Christ and the church He redeemed. |
